Dr. John Eggers started practicing obstetrics in a small town in Northern California. In order to provide personal care to his patients he made an effort to attend each of their births. He continued this model of practice for the next 20 years. Fifteen years ago he changed his practice style. The focus shifted to providing care for patients who have problems during their birth. Swedish Medical Center birthplace, with its high volume of deliveries, became his new home. He was a resource for all the delivering providers to call on when their patients had serious complications during labor and delivery. This experience provided a unique opportunity to become skilled at high risk deliveries.

He has now chosen to join Northwest Women’s Healthcare to return to the one-on-one personal care that he enjoyed in his early years of practice. He brings many years of medical experience to provide each of you with the birth experience you desire while keeping things as safe as possible. Be warned however. Asking him about the “little people” in his life is likely to produce a whole lot of photos.
